The title of this site comes from a dream and subsequently a poem about using things that are not typically considered "good kindling" to build a fire.
Growing up, I loved the process of building fires. Finding the best materials, stacking the kindling, etc. I was quite good at it and as I got older would spend hours in front of the fireplace in our family room. My friend Mark (see Maker of Blades) and I would come home from school, build a fire and talk about the mysteries of life.
Life is surprising, magical, and mundane and the simplest of things can
ignite beauty and inspiration.I can be contacted
